Mark Joseph Sturgill, age 41, of Blaine, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, December 21, 2023.

He earned the title of Master Marine Mechanic while training at MMI in Orlando, Florida. He later went on to work for the Boat Doctor and Integration Technology.

He loved spending time with his children, four wheeling, fishing on Lake Norris with his friends and family, golfing and playing with dogs.

Preceding him in death are his father, Jerry Sturgill; mother, Kathy Cobb Sturgill; brother, Arlie Napier; grandparents, Meme and Papa Sturgill, and Mamaw Cobb.

Leaving behind those to mourn him are his two children, Haylee and Cameron Sturgill; brothers, Matthew and Wriley Sturgill; grandfather, Papaw Cobb; niece and nephew, Kaylee and Hunter Sturgill; uncles, Ron and Jim Sturgill; aunt, Lean Shannon Cobb Snodgrass; along with cousins on both sides of his family.

A memorial service honoring the life of Mark will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, January 13 at Southside Baptist Church at 410 Doncaster Ave. in Middlesboro, with pastor John Gibbons officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that charitable donations could be made to Mark’s two children, Haylee, and Cameron.
