Billy Justin Mason, age 40, peacefully passed away December 23, 2023 at Middlesboro ARH Hospital with his family by his side.

He was born April 16, 1983 in Pineville, Kentucky, son of William “Bill” Mason and Lisa Mason Hubbard.

Billy had an unconditional, unwavering, profound faith in God.  His own words were, “Anything we go through, God will see us through if we keep our faith in Him.  It is not enough to just speak of faith, but we must live by faith.”  This is exactly what he did, he praised God through the storms he faced, with worship and thankfulness he departed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior.

Billy was preceded in death by his dad William “Bill” Mason, maternal grandparents Juan and Juanita Emert, paternal grandparents Roscoe and Clara Mason, uncles Gene Mason, Don Mason, Jerry Mason, and Kenneth Mason, aunt Vesta Baker, and special aunt Priscilla Hubbard, cousin Vicki Mayes, and special cousin Matthew Mason.

He is survived by his mother Lisa Mason Hubbard, sister Renee “Joshua” Arvizu, two nieces Alyssa “Tator” Murillo and Destiny Ervin, nephew Joshua Ervin, special great niece Soarin “Picklehead” Bennett, uncles John Emert, Frank Emert, Jerry Emert, and David Emert, special aunt Sildra “Pete” Jordan, Ida Roberts, Wanda Allen, Kathy Nichols, and Cathy Mason, special friend Ricky Hoskins, and a host of cousins.

Per his own request there will be a private viewing for only family on Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 3:00p.m. until 4:00p.m. at Green Hills Funeral Home, Middlesboro, Kentucky, then burial will follow at Mason Cemetery in Ferndale, Kentucky where Donnie Buell will officiate and Jessica Jordan will sing a song.

Pallbearers will be Richard Hoskins, Joshua Ervin, Joseph Jordan, Dakota Williams, Joshua Arvizu, and Author Jordan.  Honorary pallbearer will be Alyssa Murillo.
