Etta Carolyn Daughtery, age 84, of Harrogate, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Dec. 17, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on July 10, 1939, in Pineville, to the late Caleb and Effie Davis Durham.

Etta was a longtime member of Shawanee Baptist Church in Shawanee, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her sons, Ronnie Durham and Tom Daughtery; sisters, Janice Faye Dellinger and Cleda Guy; and brother, Marvin Durham.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Mary Daniels, Karen (Jimmy) Griswold, Charles (Amy) Daughtery, and Brian (Jean) Daughtery; brother, Herbert (Kate) Durham; and sister, Lena May (Gary) Treece; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

The family of Etta Carolyn Daughtery will receive friends from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 20, 2023, at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel in Middlesboro. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2 p.m. with Reverend Jackie Daniels presiding. At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Town Creek Memorial Gardens, Speedwell, where graveside services will be held.

Pallbearers will be Brian Daughtery, Charles Daughtery, Austin Daughtery, Billy Gilbert, Jr., Jimmy Griswold, Caleb Daughtery. Honorary pallbearer will be Aden Daughtery.
