George Matthew Moses, age 26, of Hulen, KY, entered his Heavenly home on Saturday, November 25, 2023. He was born on July 28, 1997, in Pineville, KY, to George Moses, Jr. and Rebecca Simpson Muncy.

Matthew was a lifelong resident of Hulen, KY. He was a wonderful son, grandson, brother, nephew, and friend. He was loved by all who knew him. He had the biggest, kindest heart and would help anyone who needed it.

Matthew was of the Christian faith. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Matthew loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, and riding four-wheelers. Matthew will be greatly missed and will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

In addition to his mother, Rebecca Simpson Muncy and stepfather, Justin Muncy; Matthew was preceded in death by his great-great-grandmother, Ruby Simpson; great-grandmother, Ethel Creech; grandmother, Doris Howard and grandparents, Janet and Gary Taylor and George and Brenda Moses.

Left to cherish his memory are his special grandfather, Ronnie (Alice) Simpson; special aunt, Crick and Jack Howard; father, George (Kim Combs) Moses, Jr.; two loving brothers, Wyatt Moses, his lifelong best friend, and Patrick (Paige) Sumpter; a special uncle, Jason Taylor; aunt and uncle, Joy and Rocky Creech; and close friend, Rusty Murphy, as well as a host of other family and friends.

The family of Matthew Moses will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at the Blackmont Baptist Church in Hulen, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with Reverend Carl Eldridge presiding.

At the conclusion of the funeral service, family and friends will travel in procession to Upland Cemetery, Hulen, KY, where graveside services will be held.  Pallbearers will be Wyatt Moses, Rusty Murphy, Jason Taylor, Patrick Sumpter, Steven Philpot, and Jonathan Moses.
