Bell County Clerk Debbie Gambrel recently announced changes in the filing deadlines for the 2020 election. These changes have been put into place per Bill SB60.
“Any registered voter wishing to file for city council, school board, and Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors has a new filing date,” said Gambrel.
The deadlines are as follows:
• City council filing deadline is Jan. 10, 2020;
• School board and Soil and Water Conservation District Supervisors filing deadline is June 2, 2020.
“All filing papers must be picked up, completed and returned to the Bell County Clerk’s Office inside the Old Courthouse in Pineville,” Gambrel explained. “They must be returned to the office by 4 p.m. on or before the deadline.”
