Three homes destroyed by fire in Wallsend community

Three homes were destroyed by a fire in the Wallsend community on Sunday. According to Bell County Dispatch, the call came in at 10:24 p.m. with all three structures located on Tennessee Avenue.
The initial fire began in the middle structure and later spread to the two adjoining structures. At midnight on Monday, all three structures were still on fire. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, according to Pineville Fire Chief James Miracle.
Miracle said crews were on scene trying to contain the fire until about 5:15 a.m. Monday morning.
Those that responded to the scene included: Pineville Fire Department, Bell County Volunteer Fire Department, Bell County Sheriff’s Office, Pineville Police Department and Bell County EMS.
