On Friday, the Bell County Cooperative Extension Service and Bell County Agriculture Advancement Council hosted Farm Field Day.
The event takes place each year at the Bell County Fairgrounds. The day kicks off at 9 a.m. and stretches out until about 1 p.m. The event is free of charge, and lunch is provided for free to those in attendance. Door prizes are always given away as well.
The event, which is in its 17th year, provides an opportunity for the community to see resources available in Bell County.
Those in attendance always get to experience a variety of exhibitors who focus on safety issues. The issues that are focused on can range from farm safety to vehicle safety. Live animals are always a popular attraction at Farm Field Day with a petting zoo, pony rides and a train ride.
Some of the agencies that are presented at the farm field day include: Farm Bureau, the Division of Forestry, the Bell County Rescue Squad, and the Forestry Camp, along with their dogs, Air Evac and a variety of other local agencies.
