An announcement and update was released this week regarding the sale and purchase of the Middlesboro Mall.
Todd Routh with Todd Routh Properties represents Monroe Realty Group LLC and states they are a family-owned company.
With the purchase of the Middlesboro Mall, and two others, from Ershig Properties DBA Pinnacle Properties I, LLC, Monroe will have grown their portfolio to more than 80 shopping centers, warehouse properties and office buildings throughout Texas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Kentucky and Tennessee.
The release states that Monroe favors smaller markets where they can help revitalize the community.
At Monroe Realty Group, they look forward to getting acquainted with the property and the community. Monroe is excited to bring to the community a pleasant shopping experience and best leasing value to the mall’s tenants. They expect great things from the Middlesboro Mall.
Charles Burchfield, who had been with Middlesboro Mall for over 36 years, has stepped down as manager to further his employment with former mall owner Ershig Properties in another location.
Longtime office manager Carolyn Widner has been promoted to mall manager and looks forward to serving in that capacity.
According to WRIL, Todd Routh states that while there have been a few personnel changes, he does plan on bringing in more stores to the facility.
