Football season is always a welcomed time of the year. It’s a sign that fall is on the way and the dog days of summer are coming to a close. This season, we wanted to do something a little different at our three publications to reward student-athletes for their performance on the field. During football season, we will be awarding a “Player of the Week.”

This player will be chosen by our sports editors based on performance as well as the impact the player had during the game. Whether it’s a running back who rushed for over 250 yards or the lineman blocking for them, we are wanting to recognize the players who accomplish these impressive feats.

Each winner will be announced on the following Wednesday throughout the regular season.
