The show must go on

Mother Nature continues to wreak havoc on events planned in the Pineville, but that didn’t stop Main Street Live from continuing Thursday

“Obviously Mother Nature has an issue with us having an event,” Main Street Director Jacob Roan said. “We moved the music inside to the Butcher’s Pub.”

Headliners for the show were Chris Minton and Dave Shoemaker.

Due to the weather cancelling outdoor events, Roan got creative when it came to keeping the community involved.

“For those of you who worked so hard on your golf carts, we do have some good news,” Roan said. We are going to organize an online picture competition.”

Roan is asking that you submit up to five photos of your cart to them on the Main Street Pineville Facebook Page, and they will let the public vote.

“The winner will receive a $100 price and we will accept photos until Monday at 4 p.m.,” he said. “The voting will open at 6 p.m. on Monday and will go through Friday.”

The winner will be presented with their prize at the Main Street Live event on July 27.

Don’t forget to post your pictures of your patriotic golf cart on Main Street Pineville’s Facebook Page for your chance to win.
