The three people who shocked the community when they broke into a home during the homeowner’s funeral are facing more charges from the Bell County Sheriff’s Office.
George Johnson, 38, Mary Johnson, 36, and Dolly Brock, 40, were arrested Wednesday by the Pineville Police Department on warrants charging them with first-degree burglary and are being held in the Bell County Detention Center on $50,000 cash bonds.
The burglary occurred on June 13 at a residence in the Calloway community.
The home belonged to Mary and Dolly’s father, who had passed away the Monday before. The trio broke into the home while the funeral was taking place.
Bell County Deputy Adam Southern and Kentucky State Police Troopers Taylor Mills and Josh Messer responded to the scene. Upon arrival, Southern noticed a trail through kudzu behind the home that took the officers to Johnson and the two women.
According to the report, Johnson repeatedly ignored the officers when they told him to show his hands and chemical spray had to be used to get him to cooperate.
The report continued that Johnson was lying on a red crowbar and it was determined that he was under the influence according to his behavior.
George Johnson was taken into custody and taken to the Bell County Detention Center. He was charged with menacing, resisting arrest, third-degree criminal trespassing, public intoxication (excluding alcohol) and he was also served with an outstanding warrant
Mary Johnson was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing.
Dolly Brock was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal trespassing and public intoxication (excluding alcohol).
A court date is still pending.
