Raid at Martin Station brings in hundreds of visitors

Hundreds gathered over the weekend for the 19th Annual Raid at Martin’s Station. Re-enactment battles took place on Saturday. Seen here, Native Americans prepared to rush the area at dusk during the Raid at Martin Station. Those in attendance were able to observe the raising of colors and wreath laying ceremony and were also able to browse numerous 18th century craft vendors.
A young girl is captured and taken from her home during the Raid on Martin’s Station. Re-enactment battles took place at 1 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. and in between those re-enactment visitors could enjoy trying difference varieties of food from food vendors there on-site.
