Citizens of the City of Middlesboro can now keep up with meetings, events and other information on work being done in the city by following them on Facebook.
You can locate the information by searching City of Middlesboro Kentucky on Facebook.
“We hope this page will be used to better communicate with the public,” Mayor Rick Nelson said.
He encouraged the public to send messages regarding the daily operations of the city or any other general questions or concerns they may have as he and the city council work to improve the city.
Important phone numbers are also included on the Facebook page, such as the Civic Center and city pool information, Codes Enforcement, Fire and EMS, and police.
Nelson has also invited residents to attend council meetings.
All city council meetings are held on the third Tuesday of each month inside the council chambers at Middlesboro City Hall at 7 p.m. There will also be a work meeting this Monday at 5 p.m. All meetings are open to the public.
To contact City Hall, you can call 606-248-5670 Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
