The fourth Levitt AMP Middlesboro Music Series of the year has wrapped up with a final performance by Robin Alice and Sierra Hull.
The last week of the series showed a reprieve from the wet and dreary weather that had been a consistent thorn in the shows side in the past few weeks.
For this last show, Levitt sponsor Smithfield provided free cook-out for the audience that consisted of burgers, hot dogs, chips and cookies.
Emily Ayers, director of Main Street Middlesboro stated “This year’s line up was one of the Levitt Foundations favorite, which they shared with us while visiting. I couldn’t be more proud of the Levitt Committee for all their hard-work and creating another year of free live music that the entire community can enjoy.”
The weather was clear and balmy as the evening progressed, while a relaxed and mild atmosphere permeated the night.
“It was truly an honor to have Liz Levitt Hirsch in Middlesboro last week. She has always been very complimentary of our series but we never could have a anticipated her visiting. We want Middlesboro to be the poster child if the Levitt Foundation by helping revitalize downtown spaces through the power of live music. We cant thank them enough for the continued support they have given our city,” stated Bell County Tourism Director Jon Grace.
It was announced during the show that Middlesboro will indeed apply for the Levitt grant again, hoping to be chosen for the fifth year in a row for the Levitt AMP Your City Music Series.
