After Samantha Fish’s searing display last week, this week’s Levitt AMP Middlesboro concert mellows things out with Americana star Caleb Caudle.
According to his official website, Caudle is a North Carolina native. He grew up listening to rock n’ roll and punk rock. His roots playing music were planted in the punk rock scene as a teenager.
Over time, Caudles songwriting sensibilities shifted, and he decided to put all of his efforts into pursuing music full-time.
Since diving into his passion, Caudle has released a robust eight studio albums to date, his latest is “Crushed Coins.”
Rolling Stone placed Caudle on their list of 10 New Country Artists You Need to Know. They also stated that Caudle is “the musical equivalent of high-proof bourbon – rich in flavor, with a subtle, satisfying bite.”
What Caudle is best known for is his songwriting prowess — which is intimately biographical.
Opening for Caudle is London native Joe Coe. Currently residing in New Tazewell, Coe is a country singer and much like Caudle, his music is heavily informed by his own personal experiences.
Rain or shine, the show begins at 6:30 p.m. at the Levitt Lot on Cumberland Avenue. Food vendors will be set up for your convenience.
