Middlesboro 11-12s move to loser’s bracket

The Middlesboro 11-12s will move to the loser’s bracket in the district all-star tournament after suffering a 3-0 loss to Pulaski County on Saturday. Pulaski used a two-run third inning to gain an advantage en route to the victory.
Middlesboro took on the loser of the area 1 vs area 2 game on Monday in an elimination game.
Things started off rough from the beginning for Middlesboro. Despite holding Pulaski County scoreless in the first two innings, the all-stars had their own troubles with six batters striking out over that span. Only Camron Mink reached base in the first two innings.
Pulaski County found life in the third after a walk led to a run. Three batters later, a triple ended with a run that gave Pulaski a 2-0 lead.
The Middlesboro All-Stars continued to struggle over the course of the game with only Case Bayless, Isaac Brown and Brayden Barnard reaching base in the fourth and fifth innings.
Pulaski County scored the game securing run in the sixth to give the team a three-run lead. Middlesboro was retired in order to end the game.
