On April 19, Bell County lost a prominent member in Ronny Smith. He owned and operated Beauty of 3/Pinnacle VIEW Magazine — an online publication that featured stories on local businesses from Bell, Lee and Claiborne counties.
The public is invited to celebrate Smith’s legacy at Food City in Middlesboro for the release of the summer issue of the Pinnacle VIEW magazine. Food City Manager Richard Smith and Beauty of 3 will be hosting the event on June 11 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. A group photo is scheduled to be taken at noon.
For the people who buy a magazine during the event, they are eligible for a series of drawings for Pinnacle View t-shirts and prizes. They are planning on giving away 20 t-shirts during the event. The magazine will be on sale for $3.95.
Smith wrote, took photos and acted as publisher for Beauty of 3/Pinnacle VIEW Magazine during his time there.
According to the Creech Funeral Home obituary, Smith was also a park ranger at the Cumberland Gap National Park and would volunteer at Middlesboro ARH with his photography skills. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
