Bobcats rout Lee High, 76-39

The tone was set by halftime of Friday’s clash between Bell County and Lee, Virginia. The Bobcats had found themselves leading by 14 heading into the third quarter.
Determined not to be content with the lead, Bell County kept the pressure on and outscored the Generals 30-9 in the third en route to a 76-39 victory.
It was a great defensive game for the Bobcats as they defeated their opponent by their second largest margin of the season — the most since a 70-23 thrashing of Jenkins in December. The win also marked Bell’s second consecutive victory after defeating Lynn Camp just four days prior.
Tyler Partin, Trey Brock and Colby Frazier handled most of the work offensively combing for 39 points. Partin led the way with a game-high 16 points. Brock tallied 12 points on the night, and Frazier went 5-for-5 at the charity stripe on his way to 11 points.
Dawson Atkins chipped in nine points as well.
With the game well in hand by the fourth quarter, some of the younger Bobcats saw an uptick in minutes Friday. That group was led by Andrew Caldwell’s four points.
For the Generals, it was Justice Fannon who led the way with seven points on three field goals. Jacob Whitaker also tallied seven points during the game. Jacob Stewart added six points to the final tally.
