Students of Linda Cupp presented their annual Halloween recital in the sanctuary of Harrogate United Methodist Church on Oct. 29.

This recital serves as a “debut” for many first-time performers. Since they dress in costume to correspond with the theme of the piece they are playing, it feels a little safer to be in disguise.

Cupp was proud to have 11 students in the recital. Those who participated were: Evan Morris, Jenna Yonts, Noah Yonts, Sarah Ball, Natalie Johnson (sang and played solos), Kinsley Moore, Maree Collins, Sophie DeBusk (played a harp solo), Morgan Kinsler, Addelyn Mabe and Anna Dalton.

“Five of these students didn’t make any mistakes,” said Cupp. She added that this was one of her best recitals out of 30 years.
